Isaiah 42:4-6

International Standard Version

⁴ And^[a] he won’t grow faint or be crushed
    until he establishes justice on the mainland,
        and the coastlands take ownership of^[b] his Law.”

⁵ This is what God says—
    the God^[c] who created the heavens
        and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and its produce,
    who gives breath to the people on it
        and life^[d] to those who walk in it:
⁶ “I’ve^[e] called you in righteousness.
    I’ll take hold of your hand.
I’ll preserve you and appoint you
    as a covenant to the people,^[f]
        as a light for the nations,
